Simple CFD is a focused, affordable flow simulation tool built on OpenFOAM® — for engineers who need steady and time-varying flow answers without standing up a full simulation department.

Every flow problem eventually comes down to one of two questions: what does this system look like once it settles down, or how does it behave while it's changing? Simple CFD answers both, for incompressible flow — liquids, and gases at low speed, which covers the vast majority of valve, pump, piping, and HVAC work.
For systems that settle into a stable operating condition — pressure drop across a valve at a fixed opening, flow distribution through a piping network, steady airflow through HVAC ductwork. Delivers pressure, velocity, and flow-rate results for a given operating point without the runtime cost of simulating the full time history.
For behavior that changes over time — a valve opening or closing, a pump starting up or shutting down, an HVAC load that shifts through the day. Captures how pressure and flow evolve step by step, rather than just the final steady value, so you can see the behavior in between.
Where it's used
Pressure drop across control and shut-off valves at various openings, flow coefficient validation, and the transient behavior of a valve as it opens or closes.
Suction and discharge flow behavior, startup and shutdown transients, and identifying low-pressure regions in a circuit that warrant a closer look for cavitation risk.
Flow distribution across branches and headers, pressure loss through fittings, elbows, and reducers, and sizing verification before a line goes into service.
Duct airflow distribution, diffuser and grille performance, and how airflow responds as loads change through a duty cycle.
Download
The Simple CFD installer is free to download — the software itself requires a valid license key to open and run. If you don't have a key yet, see pricing below or contact sales to get one issued.
Standard Windows setup — Start Menu entry, uninstaller included. License activation prompt on first run.
Don't have a license yet? Contact sales to get one issued before you install. macOS and Linux builds aren't available yet — let us know if you need one and we'll factor it into what we build next.
After you purchase, you'll receive a license key by email. On first launch, paste it into the activation screen — it's checked online and bound to that one machine. If you need to move to a different computer, use "Deactivate this device" in the app's License panel first, or contact support and we'll reset it for you.
If you're offline when the app periodically re-checks your license, you get a grace period before it locks — so a short connectivity gap won't interrupt your work.
The Simple CFD installer sets up the application itself, and — if it's not already on your machine — also installs the OpenFOAM® v2606 solver runtime it uses under the hood, as a separate step. Both are installed to your own user folder, no administrator rights required.

No subscription, no seat-count negotiation — a single license for a single seat, priced to make simulation accessible to smaller teams.
Simple CFD is built on OpenFOAM® v2606, the latest release at time of writing. We package and configure it for the applications above so you can get to a result without setting up the underlying solver environment yourself.

Coming soon
We're building a complete CFD platform that goes beyond steady and transient incompressible flow — currently in active development. A live demo of DynamiX CFD is available now, ahead of full release.
